1979 GMC Jimmy 4x4 High Sierra, which spent most of its life in Arizona. This is a truck that has had a lot of time spent on the body work, paint and drivetrain. This truck is dependable and can go anywhere.

-383 CI Stroker, 4 bolt main balanced and blueprinted
Heads have bronze valve guides, stainless steel valves (2.02 intake, 1.94 exhaust) little bit of porting and match ported to intake.
Roller tip rocker arms with screw in studs
Flat top Hyp Pistons
400 chevy crank and rods with arp hardware
-Dual plane intake, Professional built Quadrajet Carburetor w/electric choke that is jetted and tuned specially for this truck. Performs amazing, no bog and no hesitations. This truck got 15 mpg between Arizona and New Mexico on a 9 hour trip.
-HEI Distributer built to match motor/truck. DUI cap, rotor, high voltage coil and plug wires.
-Turbo 350 Trans rebuilt with mild shift kit.
-NP203 transfer case refreshed with part time kit installed. (Was full time 4x4)
-Axles are stock with 3.40 gears
-Factory air conditioning that was converted to 134a. I think a new switch or blower motor is required. It was blowing cold last summer, but have not spent time to look at it. Easy fix though
-Factory Cruise Control!!! Works great and used it from Nevada to Texas
-New Big Block radiator
-BFGoodrich A/T 35x12.50x15 with great tread
-Disc brakes on front, drum rear, stops great
-Ceramic coated long tube headers with custom 2.5in exhaust, 50 series Flowmasters and H-pipe
-Reinforcement plates welded to frame at steering box mount to prevent frame stress from big tires (Chevys have this problem)
-Ford style starter solenoid, eliminates chevy hot start issues
-All wiring is with the best materials including: fuseable links, relays on headlights and aux lights, everything gets full voltage for brighter better working lights. Everything is soldered and shrink tube for excellence.
-100 AMP GM alternator (newer style) that can be found in any parts store.

-Interior is simple and like factory. All materials are great shape or new.
-Factory style power windows and locks!

-Tons of labor on body work. Lots of block sanding to make this one straight truck. You don't see these big body chevys this nice and straight.
-Removed all the trim off
-Shaved tailgate (welded in filler panel)
-4" Cowl induction hood
-Painted with Dupont Corvette Yellow and about 6 coats of clear, sanded and buffed to an amazing finish.
