1993 FZJ80 Landcruiser Diesel Swap 3x Locked
The holy grail of 4x4's has just come up for sale: A triple locked, solid-axle 1993 FZJ80 TOYOTA Land Cruiser with a hefty 6.5L V8 Detroit Turbo Diesel. Clean title (not rebuilt!!!), owned outright and registered as a diesel in PA. Fully mechanical power plant.
This build was finished in 2012, the donor vehicles were a 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser with only 124,000 miles at the time and a 1995 C1500 with only 115,000 miles. Current mileage is 14#,###. This was a fully professional conversion performed by a certified Toyota Technician. Everything is mechanically sound in this vehicle.
Detroit 6.5 liter Turbo Diesel Engine.
Custom built 700R4 transmission by Extreme 4WD.
Factory transfer case and electric locking differentials
Turbo Diesel engine has been converted to fully mechanical injection (no computer or electronics) with a mechanical wastegate controller and 3" exhaust.
A rebuilt mechanical pump, rebuilt injectors, and new glow plugs were installed at the time of the build.
Factory block heater
Cooling is handled by a high flow Factory water pump, dual thermostat crossover, Duramax fan and high flow Griffin aluminum radiator with custom shroud.
Brand new brake lines
Tires and Suspension:
Old Man Emu 3" lift (850J, 863J springs), (N73L, N74L shocks).
Front spring spacer to to solve the "Stink Bug" effect.
OME caster correction bushings and Man-A-Fre 3" caster correction brackets keep the alignment in spec.
Tires are 315/75R-16 Toyo Open Country M/T mounted on factory Land Cruiser aluminum wheels.
Bumpit Offroad front tube bumper.
Warn M8000 winch with synthetic rope. and "Land Cruiser" hause fairlead.
Custom tubular rock sliders that are welded to the frame for strength. (M&M Offroad)

Custom tube roof rack
The hood was replaced with a factory Toyota hood due to rust forming on the leading edge. The truck had only surface rust on the bottom when purchased. It's been covered with Rustoleum bed liner and has no issues. Paint is in very good shape.
Leather has been replaced with gray cloth seats that give a little extra leg room than the leather, still in good condition.
The carpet, headliner, door panels and clean crack-free dash are very clean throughout without any rips.
Stereo upgraded to a Scion head unit.
All factory gauges are wired and functioning.
The sunroof, all of the locks work properly.
The truck still has the factory jack and tool kit.
